Tech mogul Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, is scheduled to address President-elect Donald Trump's pre-inaugural "Make America Great Again Victory Rally" this Sunday at the Capitol One Arena in Washington, D.C., as reported by NBC News. Musk, tapped to helm the newly established Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), will join other speakers including Vice President-elect JD Vance, media figure Megyn Kelly, and members of the Trump family.

This appearance follows Musk's significant financial contributions to Trump's campaign and his increasing presence at Trump-related events, such as a rally at Madison Square Garden in New York City last October. In his leadership role at DOGE, alongside entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, Musk aims to significantly reduce government expenditures.

DOGE, a non-governmental entity, is focused on streamlining government operations and eliminating waste. While the initial goal was a $2 trillion reduction in the federal budget, Musk recently suggested at the CES tech show in Las Vegas that a $1 trillion cut might be more achievable.

While aiming for $2 trillion in cuts, Musk acknowledges the ambitious nature of the target, suggesting $1 trillion as a more realistic achievement.
