Tragically, Jackson succumbed to her injuries later that evening at Canyon Vista Medical Center. Her own dog was also found deceased in the alley, presumably a victim of the attacking dogs. Sanches Jr. remains in critical condition at Banner Medical Center.

Police confirmed that both of the aggressive dogs involved in the attack were euthanized by officers at the scene. The three deceased animals are currently under the custody of the Sierra Vista Police Department’s Animal Control Office for further investigation.
