This period coincided with legal disputes involving his "It Ends With Us" co-star, Blake Lively. Lively filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against Baldoni, his studio, and former PR representatives. Baldoni subsequently countersued the New York Times for $250 million over an article about the alleged smear campaign against Lively, and later filed a separate $400 million lawsuit against Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, accusing them of attempting to control the narrative surrounding the film.

In the podcast interview, recorded in November 2024, Baldoni expressed his deep commitment to his company and the brand he's built. He also shared a text message he sent to close contacts, admitting his vulnerability and need for healing. He acknowledged experiencing anxiety and the need to prioritize self-care after a demanding year.
