Tragedy struck an Iowa family visiting an Omaha waterpark when their 6-year-old son was found unconscious in a wave pool. The heartbreaking incident occurred on Sunday at the Fun-Plex waterpark in Ralston, a suburb of Omaha, Nebraska. Despite being rushed to Creighton University Medical Center-Bergan Mercy and later Children’s Hospital & Medical Center, the young boy never regained consciousness. According to a GoFundMe page set up by the family, he was declared brain dead and subsequently removed from life support. The family, from Sioux City, Iowa, identified the boy as their first son and twin to his sister. They expressed their profound grief on the fundraising platform, where they are seeking assistance with funeral costs. The Fun-Plex waterpark has remained closed since the incident.
