This drastic measure, as revealed on his wife Bunnie Xo's podcast "Dumb Blonde," marks his intention to disconnect from the digital world for the entirety of 2025.

Feeling overwhelmed by the constant influx of messages and the guilt of not responding promptly, Jelly Roll explained that his phone had become a source of stress and anxiety. He admitted that the sheer volume of texts made it daunting to even begin addressing them, leading him to avoid the issue altogether through mindless scrolling and news alerts.

This isn't the first time the musician has parted ways with his phone. Bunnie Xo confirmed that her husband has gone through numerous phones over the years, often leaving her as the point of contact for those trying to reach him. She humorously noted that while she's maintained the same number for nearly a decade, Jelly Roll has cycled through about 17.

Looking ahead, Jelly Roll plans to use a flip phone in 2025, believing it will be a healthier approach to communication. He candidly shared that his smartphone usage had become a form of dissociation, hindering his personal growth. He expressed his desire to be a better husband, father, human, and artist, and believes disconnecting will help him achieve these goals.

In addition to his digital detox, Jelly Roll is also focused on his physical health. Having already lost 100 pounds, he's openly discussed his struggles with weight and his desire to inspire others. He's now set a new goal: to be on the cover of Men's Health by March 2026, aiming for a dramatic transformation.
