Caitlyn Jenner recently sat down with OutKick’s Charly Arnolt to further address her ongoing online debate with tennis icon Martina Navratilova concerning the participation of transgender athletes in women's sports.
The discussion stemmed from Navratilova's tweet criticizing Jenner's interview with Lance Armstrong, where they discussed their shared view that transgender women should not compete in women's sports. Navratilova's tweet questioned the credibility of two biological males discussing the issue.
Jenner, in her interview with Arnolt, labeled Navratilova a "hypocrite" for her stance. Jenner argued that while Navratilova opposes transgender women in women’s sports, she simultaneously supports political figures like President Biden and Vice President Harris, who Jenner claims are undermining women's sports through their policies on Title IX inclusion.
Jenner highlighted what she perceives as a contradiction: Navratilova's opposition to transgender women in sports while supporting politicians whose policies, according to Jenner, threaten the integrity of women's sports by promoting the inclusion of transgender women in Title IX.
Jenner emphasized her own experience as an Olympian and a transgender woman, asserting her credibility on the issue. She reiterated her consistent stance against transgender women competing in women's sports, citing fairness and the protection of women's sports as her primary motivations. She referenced her experience forming an all-female race car team as further evidence of her commitment to women's sports.
