Jennifer Aniston, the acclaimed actress known for her role in "Friends," recently expressed her strong dislike for what she considers a backhanded compliment often directed at women: "You look great for your age." During a British Vogue interview, the 54-year-old star stated that this phrase "drives me bananas" and argued that it should simply be, "You look great – period." She questioned the societal habit of using age as a qualifier for compliments and expressed confusion over its meaning.

Aniston contrasted her current physical and mental state with her younger years, asserting that she is "in better shape" and feels better overall now in her 50s than she did in her 20s. She attributed this to an evolved fitness routine, moving away from what she described as the demanding "pounding, pounding, pounding" of 45-minute to hour-long cardio sessions. She now favors a more sustainable and less strenuous approach to exercise, finding ways to make workouts "elegant" yet effective.

Reflecting on her past workout habits, Aniston admitted to InStyle that she "burnt out and broke" her body by adhering to the belief that intense cardio was essential for a good workout. Now prioritizing her overall well-being and longevity, she emphasized her desire to "be thriving" rather than "just be alive," noting her family's history of long lifespans.
