Country music star John Rich shared his perspective on Garth Brooks' decision to offer "every brand of beer" at his upcoming Nashville bar, amidst the ongoing Bud Light controversy. Rich, speaking from his own Redneck Riviera bar in Nashville, acknowledged Brooks' inclusive approach, noting, "Garth Brooks has always been the guy that said, ‘everybody come to my show.’ He makes his music for everyone." Rich emphasized that while offering Bud Light is Brooks' prerogative, the market might dictate otherwise: "Garth might find out not many people are going to order it. At the end of the day, a successful business needs to offer products people will buy." Rich speculated that Brooks' decision might stem from a desire to bridge divides in the country: "I think he probably sees the pain and division…and wants to try to help that. If I know Garth at all…that's probably the impetus behind a statement like that."

Rich's comments follow Brooks' statement that his new bar, Friends In Low Places Bar & Honky Tonk, will stock all beer brands. Brooks stated, "I want it to be a place you feel safe in…where people like one another. And yes, we’re going to serve every brand of beer…It’s not our decision to make. Our thing is this: If you [are let] into this house, love one another."

This discussion comes as Bud Light continues to experience declining sales following their partnership with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney. Rich himself has previously stated that he won't stock Bud Light at his bar due to lack of customer demand. He described a "vicious attitude toward Bud Light" among his patrons. Recent data reveals Bud Light sales dropped another 23.9% in the week ending May 27. Industry experts predict potential shelf space reallocations if this trend persists.
