In his message, Kim characterized the North Korea-Russia friendship as a "precious strategic asset" and emphasized his government's unwavering dedication to fostering cooperative relations with Russia. He also expressed a shared objective with Putin of safeguarding global security and extended wishes for Putin's well-being.

Significantly, the report indicates Kim's support for Putin's decision to invade Ukraine. This message of solidarity comes as Russia observes Russia Day, a holiday commemorating a milestone in the country's journey towards democracy.

Lawmaker Yoo Sang-bum revealed that the National Intelligence Service observed North Korean officials stockpiling sleep aids and substantial quantities of alcohol and cigarettes.
