During Thursday's opening round of the U.S. Open at the Los Angeles Country Club, Phil Mickelson, who joined the Saudi-backed LIV Golf last year, found himself the target of heckling. A spectator, positioned on the grandstand railing at the 18th hole, reportedly taunted Mickelson for over half a minute, referencing his LIV Golf involvement and an alleged Victoria's Secret sponsorship.

Despite the distraction, Mickelson maintained composure, finishing his round with a 69, tying for 25th place. This impressive performance came on a day where Xander Schauffele and Rickie Fowler made history, scoring a record-breaking 62, the lowest ever for a U.S. Open round.
