Members of the Democratic Party have remained silent on whether President Biden should publicly acknowledge his seventh grandchild, born to his son Hunter Biden and Lunden Roberts, a former exotic dancer from Arkansas. This silence comes amidst criticism of the first family for seemingly excluding the child from their public image.
President Biden, who frequently speaks about his family, consistently refers to having six grandchildren, omitting Hunter Biden's 4-year-old daughter. Several Democratic representatives, when questioned by Fox News Digital on Capitol Hill, declined to comment on whether the President should acknowledge his seventh grandchild. Representatives Rick Larsen (D-WA), Andre Carson (D-IN), and Dan Kildee (D-MI) avoided answering the question directly.

Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) stated to Fox News Digital, "I'll leave your personal family matters to you, and leave the president's family matters to him." Similarly, Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D-FL) declined to answer, offering only a noncommittal "Aye-yai-yai" as he walked away.
In contrast, Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) expressed his opinion that the Bidens "should acknowledge that kid." He emphasized the child's innocence, saying, "It's not the kid's fault that his mom is a stripper and that his daddy is a drug addict... A life is so precious." He shared his personal experience of adopting a child and the joy it brought to his life.

Recently, a child support settlement was reached between Hunter Biden and Lunden Roberts. The agreement stipulates monthly payments of an undisclosed amount and gifts of Hunter's paintings to his daughter, but she will not bear his last name. The implications of the Biden family's lack of acknowledgment of their relative have been highlighted by clinical psychologist Dr. Staci Weiner. Speaking to Fox News Digital, Dr. Weiner explained that such rejection can lead to feelings of shame and insecurity in a child, potentially impacting their self-worth and ability to form healthy relationships.
