Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris played a pivotal role in their victory over the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, scoring a crucial touchdown and leading the team in rushing yards. However, a surprising reason briefly sidelined him during the first quarter.

Initially suspected to be a knee injury, Harris later revealed the true culprit: an overindulgence in a Thanksgiving dish prepared by teammate Pat Freiermuth’s girlfriend, Jill. “It was Thanksgiving, and Pat’s girlfriend, Jill, made this amazing banana dish,” Harris explained. “I had a bit too much, and it didn’t hit me until that first drive. So, I’m putting the blame on her!”
The former Alabama star shared that he resorted to eating oranges to alleviate the issue. He bounced back to deliver a strong performance, accumulating 75 rushing yards on 16 carries and adding 54 receiving yards on six catches, including a crucial 10-yard touchdown run that tied the game in the second quarter.

Freiermuth also contributed significantly to the Steelers’ win, recording 68 receiving yards and a touchdown of his own. Following the game, he acknowledged his girlfriend on social media amidst fan reactions to the team’s impressive 44-point performance.

With this victory, the Steelers improve to 9-3 and maintain their lead in the AFC North.
