Former President Donald Trump recently unveiled a series of appointments for key positions, including the director of the U.S. Marshals Service and several ambassadorships. The announcements were made via Truth Social.
Gadyaces "Gady" Serralta was named as the next director of the U.S. Marshals Service. Trump praised Serralta's extensive 34-year career in law enforcement, highlighting his previous nomination as U.S. Marshal for the Southern District of Florida during Trump's first term. Serralta's background includes roles as a major in the Miami-Dade Police Department and police chief in Palmetto Bay, Florida. Trump expressed confidence that Serralta, working alongside Attorney General Pam Bondi, will contribute to restoring law and order.

In addition to the Marshals Service appointment, Trump announced several ambassadorial selections. Thomas Rose was tapped as the United States ambassador to Poland. Trump cited Rose's business acumen and experience as a commentator on Sirius XM radio, as well as his tenure as Publisher and CEO of The Jerusalem Post. Rose's connection to former Vice President Mike Pence as a longtime friend and unofficial surrogate was also noted.


Michael E. Kavoukjian was selected as the next United States ambassador to Norway. Trump described Kavoukjian as a skilled attorney with experience leading complex commercial litigation teams globally at White & Case. Kavoukjian's background also includes a stint as a CIA operations officer and degrees from Stanford University and Harvard Law School.
Melinda Hildebrand, wife of billionaire businessman Jeffery Hildebrand, was named as the United States ambassador to Costa Rica. Trump lauded Hildebrand's success as a businesswoman and philanthropist, emphasizing her commitment to protecting American interests, particularly in trade and immigration. Hildebrand's roles include vice chair of the Hildebrand Foundation, vice president of Hilcorp Ventures Inc., and president and owner of River Oaks Donuts.

Finally, Nicholas Merrick was appointed as United States Ambassador to the Czech Republic. Trump highlighted Merrick's business leadership and teaching experience, noting his role leading a $1.6 billion family office. Merrick's background also includes serving as CFO of two publicly traded telecommunications companies and membership on several large pension boards. He holds degrees from the University of Virginia and Harvard University.
As of Wednesday, the Senate had confirmed 11 of Trump's Cabinet nominees.
