In Louisville, Kentucky, an attempted carjacking of undercover police officers resulted in the death of the suspect. On Monday afternoon, two officers were working an unrelated investigation from their vehicle when a man in his 20s, armed with a handgun, approached and attempted to carjack them. One officer fired their service weapon, striking the suspect. Despite receiving immediate medical attention from both officers, the man succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Kentucky State Police have taken over the investigation and deployed a critical response team.
