Law enforcement in Lakewood, Colorado, is on the hunt for a couple who allegedly stole merchandise from a Five Below store and pepper-sprayed two employees on July 1st. Adding to the unusual nature of the crime, one of the suspects was carrying a cat in a bag during the incident.
The Lakewood Police Department has nicknamed the suspects "Lilo" and "Stitch" due to their matching Disney-themed T-shirts. The pair's brazen act and distinctive attire have made them the police department's "cute couple of the month," albeit sarcastically.

Police have expressed concern for the well-being of the cat, which they've affectionately named "Mittens." They've urged the suspects to contact them to ensure the feline's safety after the "scary ordeal."
Playing on the "Ohana" (family) theme from the "Lilo & Stitch" movie, the police department humorously offered the suspects a place in their "'Ohana' at the Jefferson County Jail," complete with "matching silver bracelets."
The police also noted the suspects' footwear choices, commenting on the female suspect's glittery flip-flops, one of which she lost during the alleged robbery, and the male suspect's more practical New Balance sneakers.

Anyone with information about the suspects is encouraged to contact the Lakewood Police Department at 303-987-7244.
