Actor Dolph Lundgren recently shared the exciting news of being cancer-free after an eight-year health battle. The "Rocky IV" star posted a video update from his hospital bed just prior to a procedure to eliminate the last remaining tumor. Expressing gratitude and anticipation for the future, Lundgren explained he was undergoing a lung ablation, a minimally invasive method used to destroy tumor tissue.

Reflecting on his journey, Lundgren acknowledged the challenging experience and how it emphasized living in the present. A subsequent update on his Instagram story reiterated his resilience, echoing his iconic "Rocky IV" line, "It's gonna take a little more to break me."

Lundgren's cancer journey began in 2015 with the discovery and removal of a kidney tumor. He remained cancer-free for five years before additional tumors were found in 2020. While several were successfully removed, one in his liver grew significantly, leading to a grim prognosis. Lundgren revealed in an earlier interview that a doctor advised him to cease working and prioritize family time, underscoring the severity of his condition.

A turning point came with a second opinion from a UCLA doctor who identified a different mutation than initially diagnosed. With the correct treatment, Lundgren's health improved significantly. Throughout 2022, he underwent procedures to remove the remaining tumors, and he now describes his life as largely back to normal, with regular scans as part of his ongoing care. He described the entire ordeal as both frightening and a profound experience.
