Tensions appear to be escalating within the Cyrus family, with Trace Cyrus publicly sharing concerns about his father, Billy Ray Cyrus, and alleging threats of legal action. This follows an open letter from Trace expressing worry about his father's well-being after a performance at President Trump's inauguration.
Trace claims Billy Ray's response to his initial message, which he described as "beyond loving," was to threaten legal action. He expressed disappointment and urged his father to seek help, stating, "Everyone close to you is terrified to tell you how they really feel. I’m not. Get help." He encouraged his followers to offer Billy Ray support, hoping to "get him back" to his former self.

Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus adopted Trace and his sister Brandi in 1992. They later had Miley, Braison, and Noah Cyrus before divorcing in 2022. Billy Ray also has a son, Christopher, from a previous relationship.
While Trace has voiced his concerns, Braison Cyrus has offered a different perspective. He stated he has no ill will toward anyone in his family and spoke positively about collaborating with his father on a new album, describing it as a chance to tell Billy Ray's story through music.

Meanwhile, reports suggest Miley Cyrus is distancing herself from the family turmoil, focusing on her own well-being and career.
In his earlier Instagram post, Trace had implored Billy Ray to reconnect with his children, expressing concern for his health and sharing his worry that the world had "beaten him down." He referenced Billy Ray's recent inauguration performance, which faced technical issues and drew criticism online. Despite the difficulties, Billy Ray defended his participation, emphasizing his commitment to entertaining the audience regardless of technical setbacks.
