A Florida woman is facing multiple charges after allegedly stabbing three hospital employees while attempting to remove her three-day-old infant from life support. Kendra Greene was apprehended by authorities following a dramatic series of events that unfolded at Palms West Hospital.
Greene reportedly entered the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and disconnected her newborn from a ventilator, feeding tubes, and other life-sustaining equipment. When hospital staff intervened to prevent her from leaving with the child, Greene allegedly brandished a knife, injuring three employees. The victims sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were subsequently treated and released.

Following the altercation, a "code pink" alert, signifying a child abduction, was issued throughout the hospital. Greene reportedly attempted to conceal the baby under her clothing before fleeing the scene. She later left the infant with a family member, who safely returned the child to the hospital. The newborn is currently in stable condition.
Law enforcement located Greene at her residence, but she evaded capture, leading officers on a pursuit that ended with her crashing her vehicle and fleeing into a canal. Authorities subsequently apprehended her. Greene is now facing charges including aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, simple battery, aggravated child abuse, and resisting arrest without violence.
One hospital employee witnessed Greene "violently" removing the breathing device and other life support equipment from the infant. The three injured staff members were stabbed in the neck, hand, and forearm, respectively.
