Created: JANUARY 26, 2025

A Guatemalan migrant has been arrested in Palm Beach County, Florida, and charged with two counts of sexual battery on a child under 12. The 25-year-old suspect, Nicolas Jose Francisco, is accused of molesting a five-year-old girl in two separate incidents at the family's home where he worked. Francisco denies the allegations.

According to reports, the alleged abuse occurred in the garage and bathroom of the residence. The young girl first reported the incidents to authorities on December 13th, prompting an investigation by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office and the Florida Department of Children and Families. The child described how Francisco allegedly touched her inappropriately in both locations. She used the term "flower" to refer to her private area when describing the first incident in the garage, according to WPEC. In the second alleged incident, which took place in a bathroom, the girl claims Francisco exposed himself and touched her again.

During questioning by deputies, Francisco maintained his innocence, claiming the family's accusations stemmed from his immigration status. He stated that any contact with the child was accidental and occurred while he was trying to assist her in the bathroom. However, investigators noted the absence of a bathroom in the garage where one of the alleged incidents took place. Despite his initial denial, deputies reported that Francisco later expressed remorse and admitted wrongdoing.
