During "The Showdown" golf match featuring Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler against LIV Golf rivals Bryson DeChambeau and Brooks Koepka, a lighthearted exchange unfolded between McIlroy and Charles Barkley.

As McIlroy made his way down the fairway, Barkley inquired about his food intake during a round. McIlroy, snacking on a power bar, quipped, "Not as much as you, Chuck."

Barkley, amused, admitted to being on a diet. The former NBA star has previously discussed using Mounjaro, a medication for Type 2 diabetes that also aids in weight loss by suppressing appetite and improving the body's processing of sugar and fat. Barkley has proudly reported significant weight loss, stating, "I started at 352 [pounds] and I’m down to 290. I’m starting to feel like a human being."

McIlroy and Scheffler emerged victorious against their LIV Golf opponents, needing only 14 holes to secure the win. The match format consisted of a six-hole four-ball match, a six-hole foursomes match, and individual singles matches over the final six holes.

DeChambeau expressed his desire for a rematch, referring to the initial encounter as "a bit of a pillow fight." McIlroy and Scheffler each earned $5 million in cryptocurrency for their performance.
