Despite a disappointing 2-11 season, Las Vegas Raiders owner Mark Davis is holding off on making any decisions about the future of head coach Antonio Pierce. Davis declined to comment on Pierce's status for the 2025 season during the NFL league meetings on Wednesday.

Pierce, in his first full year as head coach after taking over as interim last season, has overseen a nine-game losing streak. This follows a 5-4 finish in 2023 after he replaced Josh McDaniels mid-season, a performance that earned him the permanent position.
Davis acknowledged his disappointment with the team's performance, stating that ultimately the responsibility falls on him for hiring the decision-makers. He emphasized that he delegates authority and allows the results to speak for themselves. He stated he would re-evaluate the situation at the end of the season.

While Pierce inherited a challenging situation, the Raiders' continued struggles have raised questions about his leadership. Davis' refusal to offer a vote of confidence suggests that Pierce's position may be precarious.

The Raiders' owner accepted responsibility for the team's struggles, emphasizing that he empowers those he hires and evaluates their performance based on results. However, he made it clear he would not be making any immediate decisions regarding coaching changes.
