Originally slated for a January 15th premiere, the show will now debut on March 4th. The Duchess of Sussex, a Los Angeles native, personally requested the postponement to prioritize the needs of those affected by the fires, a decision fully supported by Netflix.

A Netflix spokesperson confirmed the delay, emphasizing that the show is a "heartfelt tribute to the beauty of Southern California" and that its release was pushed back to address the ongoing devastation. Markle expressed gratitude to Netflix for their understanding, allowing her to focus on supporting those impacted by the wildfires in her home state.

Amidst the crisis, Markle and Prince Harry visited Pasadena to meet with Mayor Victor Gordo and offer support to victims and relief efforts. The couple also highlighted organizations actively assisting those affected on their website, including the Animal Wellness Foundation, Compton Cowboys, and a partnership between Airbnb and 211LA providing temporary housing.

Earlier this month, Markle announced the show on Instagram, marking her return to the platform after a five-year absence. The series, which she produces, aims to reimagine lifestyle programming with a blend of practical advice and conversations with friends. The show features glimpses of Markle cooking, gardening, and dancing, alongside appearances from celebrities like Mindy Kaling and Roy Choi, and even includes a brief cameo by Prince Harry.

This series is part of the multiyear deal the couple signed with Netflix after stepping back from royal duties in 2020. It follows their 2022 docuseries "Harry & Meghan," the 2023 "Heart of Invictus" docuseries, and the 2024 production "Polo."
