Caleb Willingham, known for his appearances on TLC's "1,000-lb Sisters" alongside his wife, reality star Tammy Slaton, has passed away. He was 40 years old. The news was confirmed by his stepmother, according to Deadline, although the cause of death remains undisclosed.
Tammy Slaton, 36, expressed her grief in a touching Instagram tribute, sharing a series of photos of the couple and writing, "RIP sweet angel you will forever be missed and loved so much. Thank you Caleb for showing me real love and happiness."

The photos capture heartwarming moments between Slaton and Willingham, including several festive shots in front of a Christmas tree. Both are seen wearing breathing tubes and glasses, with Willingham seated in a wheelchair. Another photo shows them at a table with a snowman-themed tablecloth.
In a statement to People magazine, Slaton shared, "I am devastated to share the news of my husband’s passing. He was my best friend and I loved him dearly. When I met Caleb he became my guardian angel and now he really is watching over me. Our families appreciate everyone’s sympathy and ask that you respect our privacy at this time."
Willingham and Slaton's love story began in 2022 at the Windsor Lane Rehabilitation Center in Ohio, where they were both undergoing treatment for obesity. Slaton's goal was to qualify for bariatric surgery. Their wedding took place at the rehab center last November and was featured in the season four finale of "1,000-lb Sisters" in March.

Slaton described the wedding as "perfect," filled with love, and expressed her joy in marrying her "best friend." She also shared her excitement about taking on the name Mrs. Tammy Willingham.
Reports indicate that the couple separated in May, according to Deadline. Recently, Slaton has been celebrating her significant weight loss journey following bariatric surgery, showcasing her progress on social media and sharing her experience of being able to remove her breathing tube. She also posted a video last month of herself walking unassisted, marking a significant milestone in her recovery.
