Two Dead, Two Injured in Florida Domestic Disturbance Shooting

A masked gunman opened fire during a domestic dispute at a southwest Florida residence on Wednesday morning, resulting in the deaths of two individuals and injuries to the suspect and another person. Lee County Sheriff Carmine Marceno reported that deputies responded to a disturbance call at a Lehigh Acres home, east of Fort Myers, around 7 a.m. 45-year-old Yohani de Lazaro, wearing a ski mask, arrived at the house and initiated an altercation with a woman inside before shooting. A male resident intervened and restrained De Lazaro while another woman contacted authorities.

Sheriff Marceno confirmed that De Lazaro's partner resided at the home, but the identities of the deceased and the other injured individual were not immediately disclosed. Two children present at the scene were unharmed. Although specific details regarding the shooting remain limited, Sheriff Marceno indicated ongoing legal matters related to a domestic relationship. Charges against De Lazaro have not yet been announced, and he does not currently appear in online jail records.
