Unidentified Drones Spotted Near Trump's Bedminster Golf Club Spark Investigation

Created: JANUARY 25, 2025

Authorities are investigating a series of unexplained drone sightings over northern New Jersey, including near President-elect Trump's golf club in Bedminster. Several videos have surfaced showing drones flying over Somerset and Morris counties in recent weeks, with sightings reported as early as November 25th. One video, captured by Morris County resident Mike Walsh, shows what he describes as three drones flying near Black River Middle School in Chester, just two miles north of Trump National Golf Club.

These sightings have prompted a response from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). On Tuesday, the agency confirmed to Fox News Digital that an unusual drone was observed in the skies above northern and central New Jersey on November 18th. As a result, the FAA implemented two temporary flight restrictions, one of which covers the airspace over Trump's Bedminster property and remains in effect until the end of this week. The other restriction applies to Picatinny Arsenal, a U.S. Army research facility, and will last until December 26th. The FAA stated that these restrictions were put in place at the request of federal security partners.

The FAA emphasized its commitment to safely integrating drones into the national airspace and assured the public that they investigate all reports of unauthorized drone activity. The Morris County Sheriff’s Office confirmed its involvement in the investigation, collaborating with other agencies. Fox News Digital has also reached out to the FBI's Newark field office, the New Jersey State Police, and the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office for further details.
