A young boy is being lauded for his bravery after protecting his younger sister during the recent medical jet crash in Philadelphia. Ten-year-old Andre Howard III, affectionately known as "Trey," was with his father and sister on a post-school doughnut run when the incident occurred on Friday. The crash site, located on Cottman Avenue in the city's northeast, was left with a substantial crater.

As debris rained down from the sky, Trey's father recounted how the young boy instinctively shielded his sister, a selfless act that likely saved her life. The father described the chaotic scene to local news outlets, recalling the initial sound resembling a car crash before witnessing a fiery explosion and the scattering of debris.

Trey’s heroic actions came at a cost, resulting in an emergency brain surgery. Fortunately, reports indicate he is currently in stable condition at a local children's hospital.
