Actor Jim Caviezel has responded to media critiques of his successful film "Sound of Freedom," which has outperformed even established blockbusters like "Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny" at the box office. In a recent interview, Caviezel expressed his belief that the criticism stems from fear and that the public's positive response to the film is validating.
He criticized mainstream media for their lack of coverage, stating, "We’re being shafted by mainstream media. We’re not getting any coverage." Despite celebrating the initial ticket sales, Caviezel emphasized his desire for greater reach to raise awareness about the issue of child trafficking, referencing the estimated two million children trafficked globally.

The film, based on the true story of a Homeland Security agent's mission to rescue children from traffickers in South America, has been unfairly linked to QAnon by some media outlets, including The Guardian and Jezebel. Caviezel, known for his role as Jesus in "The Passion of the Christ," condemned these attempts to discredit the film, highlighting the importance of addressing the issue of child sex trafficking.

Initially dropped by Disney, "Sound of Freedom" was picked up by Angel Studios, the studio behind the popular biblical series "The Chosen." Caviezel also addressed criticism of his political views, emphasizing his commitment to the U.S. Constitution and the rights of all children. AMC Theatres has denied rumors of suppressing the film's screenings, confirming their partnership with Angel Studios and plans to increase screenings due to high demand.
