Rex Heuermann's South Carolina Retirement Plans and Neighbor Disputes

Created: JANUARY 25, 2025

Following the arrest of New York architect Rex Heuermann in connection with the Gilgo Beach murders, neighbors near his South Carolina property have revealed his alleged retirement plans. According to an anonymous source, Heuermann intended to retire to the secluded area near his brother, Craig, and had even discussed "buying everyone out." The properties, located in Chester, are shielded from view by dense foliage and numerous "no trespassing" signs, including one on Craig Heuermann's gate that reads, "No Warrant/No Entry."

The same neighbor recounted a past altercation with Craig Heuermann, claiming he was assaulted with a "steel pole" for cutting grass on a Sunday. He further described Craig Heuermann as volatile and having distributed business cards reading "Bad Motherf---er." Another neighbor corroborated these accounts, characterizing Craig as temperamental and sharing his brother's interest in woodworking.
