Former Jets stars Geno Smith and Leonard Williams played pivotal roles in the Seattle Seahawks' 26-21 comeback win against the New York Jets. Both players delivered impactful performances against their former team.

Smith, a former second-round pick who played for the Jets from 2013-2016, threw for 206 yards and a touchdown. Williams, traded from the Jets to the Giants in 2019 and later to the Seahawks, had two sacks and a remarkable 92-yard interception return for a touchdown.

The Jets held a commanding 21-7 lead in the second quarter before Williams' game-changing interception late in the first half ignited the Seahawks' resurgence. Smith then orchestrated a 71-yard drive, capped off by a Zach Charbonnet touchdown run, narrowing the gap. Two key Jets penalties on fourth down aided the Seahawks' scoring drive.
The Seahawks' defense tightened in the second half, containing the Jets' offense after a first half marred by Seattle special teams miscues. A fumble on a kickoff led to a Jets touchdown, and Kene Nwangwu's 99-yard kickoff return further extended the Jets' lead early in the game.

Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers finished with 185 passing yards, two touchdowns, and a 21-of-39 completion rate. Davante Adams and Isaiah Davis were on the receiving end of Rodgers' touchdown passes.
With the victory, the Seahawks improved to 7-5, riding a three-game winning streak. The Jets, meanwhile, fell to 3-9.
