Minor league baseball has embraced the sleeveless jersey trend, much to the delight of players and fans. But perhaps no one has embodied this style quite like Luke Voit, who recently inked a minor league deal with the New York Mets.
Voit, a powerful hitter known for his dedication to fitness, has always preferred a more relaxed jersey style. This was on full display during his time with the Syracuse Mets, where he sported their pinstriped sleeveless jersey with a few buttons undone. Social media erupted with appreciation for the look.

The image of Voit in the unbuttoned sleeveless jersey sparked numerous comments online. DraftKings' Jared Carrabis tweeted that Voit was "born to wear a sleeveless baseball jersey with the buttons undone," while MLB.com's Bryan Hoch declared it the "most Luke Voit picture" he'd ever seen.
Voit, the American League home run leader in the abbreviated 2022 season, has played for several teams recently, including the San Diego Padres, Washington Nationals, and Milwaukee Brewers. After his release from the Brewers, the Mets signed him to see if he could contribute to their organization.

The sleeveless style seemed to agree with Voit's swing. During a game where the Syracuse Mets were trailing significantly against the Scranton-Wilkes Barre RailRiders (the Yankees' Triple-A affiliate), Voit smashed a home run off the scoreboard.

Voit has a history with the RailRiders, having played for them on his path to the Yankees. There, he became a fan favorite for his powerful hitting and distinctive jersey style.
