A Delta Air Lines flight operating from Minneapolis to Toronto experienced a crash landing and overturned at Toronto Pearson International Airport on Monday afternoon. Images and videos circulating online depict the aircraft lying on its fuselage.
Delta Flight 4819 encountered difficulties while landing at approximately 2:45 p.m. local time, amidst challenging weather conditions including strong wind gusts and drifting snow. The flight was operated by Endeavor Air, a Delta Connection carrier.
According to authorities, all 80 individuals on board were safely evacuated, with 19 receiving medical attention for injuries. Three individuals were transported to local hospitals for further treatment.

The aircraft, a Bombardier CRJ-900, departed from Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport at 10:30 a.m. local time, carrying 76 passengers and 4 crew members.
Footage of the incident reveals the aircraft encountering difficulty upon touchdown, with plumes of smoke visible. Air Traffic Control had reported winds of 20-30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph.


Emergency services promptly responded to the scene. Two individuals were transported by air ambulance to trauma centers, while a child was taken to a children's hospital. The remaining injured passengers sustained minor injuries.
Delta Air Lines issued a statement confirming the incident and emphasizing their focus on providing support to those affected. The airline advised travelers to monitor their flight status through the Delta app.


Toronto Pearson Airport announced the resumption of air traffic at 5:00 p.m. local time.
An updated statement from Delta on Tuesday morning confirmed that 21 individuals had been hospitalized, with 19 subsequently released. Delta CEO Ed Bastian expressed the airline's commitment to supporting those affected.
