Tennis icon Serena Williams recently addressed rumors about skin bleaching in an Instagram Live video. The speculation arose after Williams posted a video with her family at a school function, according to reports. In her live video, Williams clarified, using a neutral-toned makeup that matched her natural skin color, that she doesn't alter her complexion. She attributed any perceived differences in her skin tone to variations caused by sunlight. Williams stated she was wearing stage makeup in the initial video that triggered the comments. She directly addressed those making the accusations, emphasizing her pride in her appearance as a Black woman. Williams also clarified that while she doesn't personally engage in skin bleaching, she doesn't judge those who do. She prefers to remain non-judgmental. In recent years, Williams has openly embraced retirement but has faced some health challenges. The 43-year-old shared in October that she had a substantial cyst removed from her neck, requiring a drain due to its size. She expressed gratitude for the skilled medical professionals who assisted her.
